After a spring packed with shows, meeting old friends and preparation, We headed to Africa with a wonderful group of friends who traveled with us through South Africa, across Botswana and into Zimbabwe experiencing the wildlife and bushmen cultures of southern Africa .It was really nice to be COLD!!!! Yes, of course it was winter in South Africa. We had some great adventures with our bushman friends and got to go on a oryx hunt with them. Golly, it was just incredible to see these bushmen living in the desert as they have for tens of thousands of years. What a lovely, warm group of friends we've made with them. In the bushman language there is no word for evil or hell. They refuse to believe of the existence of anywhere but nature in the sky. Despite incredible hardships they remain upbeat, and happy. Perhaps there is a secret to being the oldest existing culture on the planet?
It was a wonderful adventure sharing Africa with our friends. It was so invigorating to see them connect with our friends in Africa on many levels. Their understanding and caring about the plight of our bushman friends touched our hearts.
