U.S. Western Art Tour

Shortly after returning from Africa, Jim and I began our Western art show schedule. We had a very successful tour and hit record sales in Denver, Seattle and Sun Valley, Idaho. Of course, one of the best parts of the trip was getting to visit friends out West and catch up on their lives. Although we had little time to relax, we did get in a few good hikes and saw some great wildlife!

Unbelievable! We spent almost 30 minutes within a few feet of this beautiful moose family.

What a cute calf! About the size of a Great Dane.

We were very still and careful not to get between the mother moose and her calf.

Just off the interstate in Idaho, we discovered this small canyon with a clear, cold river gushing out of the canyon wall. It's a beautiful place, and we were the only humans there!

It's a cool place, and although it was closed, we found an open door and went in. It was built in the 1940s before scientists were sure they could control the atom.

A few adjustments and it was functioning -- until security threw us out! A cool place for Jim since his art is "atomic." (See www.thermonuclearstudios.com)
