Easter: An American Panther story

I surprised Jim this morning with a secret project I’d been working on. This is his Facebook entry from today:

“This morning I got up to a wonderful surprise Easter present from Anne. The panther I saw while we were hiking in Florida a few weeks ago was transformed into a beautiful 3’ x 6’ piece of art. I was so proud and pleased!

Anne often commissions paintings from photos of African or North American wildlife that folks have had a special experience with and want to remember. She’s done many lions, leopards, cheetahs and bears for folks all over the world. I thought I understood the special connection and emotion these pieces afforded her clients.

But, until you look up and see Anne's rendition of a once-in-a-lifetime moment seared into your own memory, you cannot appreciate that beautiful, micro-moment of reconnecting with nature; the focus and elation you feel when you first see it each morning.

Now I get it! This was a wonderful surprise to have Anne create that experience just for me -- and to enjoy forever!"
